I want to make real beats for real artists.

I love making beats. I have many styles when it comes to music. Mainly looking to work with rappers. Especially Horrorcore artists. I’m open to all types of music. I have a natural talent, and I’m not playin’ round when it comes to rap and hip-hop. I’m staying in New Mexico, but with the internet, it doesn’t matter where you are at. I’m a tough critic when it comes to lyrical skill, please keep that in mind. I’m missing a peace or two of my recording puzzle, but that will be fixed shortly.

Any serious rappers in the place?

I have a question, and I'm not being an ass or an old fart:
Can you beat box?
Seriously, I watched that kid beat box on American Idol a few years ago, not an Idol follower but the daughter was watching it. I was standing there impressed, and she was sitting there saying "Dad, lots of people can do that."
It sounded so real, not like the fake raspberry beats we would do into our cupped hands as kids in the mid 1980s.
I guess what amazes some of us is just normal to some of you, but I think it's a neat thing to have learned.

I can not beat box, some people can.. But nothing amazing. I know some people who can make some crazy cool sounds. I respect that, when it is doen properly.

Probably not too difficult to amuse and impress us old white guys? Lol

I'll tell you what, Leo. If you ever make it through Albuquerque, I'll try and beat box for ya. LOL

I need a person who can, cause I want to make hip-hop, and not autotuned garbage music. I want DJ scratching, which I can do. I want beat boxing and real drumbs.

Is there any software out there that can make beats?

Post 10 by Abomination187 (Generic Zoner) on Sunday, 29-Jan-2012 15:11:34

I found one for the blind, but it's not the best. I don't think it can be used for real music, as far as recording. I'm lucky, I got my cuz with full vision to work real recording programs.

Don't real artists make their own beats?

Some rappers and or singers can't make beats.. That's why you got producers.

What up...

I've used Garage Band for Mac before. Great program, and I understand it's completely voice over friendly. It has a shit load of ready loops that you can mix and master til your heart bursts. Everything from drums, to guitar... Techno to jaz.

I used it in my audio production class back in Highschool. At the time, we didn't have voice over, only that other program that came before it, can't remember the name of it now. But. yeah. Great program, if you godda Mac , that is.

I too am looking for a virtual semphosiser, or, at the very least, a Virtual Drum Machine. I need it to be accessible with JFW. I don't do Hip-hop or wrap, just rock and varying sub-genres of rock. Though... If you ever need anyone to make some kickass guitar loops for you. just PM, or hit me up on skype. Info is on the profile.

But yeah, good luck. And, if you find some accessible software that works good, and can be ported to .wav format, or any other recording format, please let me know.

Thanks...
Puff Puff.

i make beats, too. The only rap i like is underground rap, though, necro and the likes, and a lot of oldskool hip hop. I'm not saying that to look cool or whatever, but that lil wane kind of stuff just isn't for me. I'm also a turntablist, so i guess my stuff could sound a bit dated from a commercial angle.
Just thought i'd throw that out there

I'm down with Necro, ILL BILL, JMT. I'll fuck with you. I'm not a great dj, but drumbs, real and beat mpcs. Real himhop you know. I'm a Juggalo, but I don't byte ICP, like all the kids do. Hit me up homi.

Well, I had a death in my family, and a busy year. I really want to make my intentions clear musically. I love rap, meddle, r and b, and all kinds of music. I'm a good drummer, but with no kit. My keyboard is good, but it isn't with me. QWS is what I use, but I know I need more. I want to hear what you all got going on. I'm good at freestyling, and writing. I could even write for singers. Anybody can holla at me on skype. I'm also interested in making a group of all blind artists. I also got a friend in L.A who wants to get that group on a label. I don't fuck around with music, and am co signed by a few good underground artists. I have nothing recorded because of technology limitations. I was suposed to go to the holliwood recording school, but pro tools and jaws won't work together. I like what I've heard from some of the artists here on the zone.

Sonar is very accessible with payed and free JAWS scripts. You will need an audio/midi interface, a good soundcard, powerful PC, and a high-quality mic for vocals.
